Making A Door Basket with Flowers

I read an interesting article about feng shui and how they consider the front door to be extremely important. In feng shui the front door is a place where good energy flows into the home. It must be clean, well lit, and welcoming.

After taking down all our Christmas decorations a while ago, our front door was very bare. I decided to make this flower basket instead of getting a new wreath. I purchased the metal basket at Michael's along with the white flowers. So far this is what I have. Does anyone have any comments or tips? I think it needs something a little extra , or maybe not, can't make up my mind :-)

Great idea! I always like something on our door. I am going to have to do something like this for ours...maybe a spring theme.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a awesome weekend!

I think it's beautiful....maybe add something with just a touch of color, but honestly, it's beautiful enough! Love it! Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!:)

I love this idea! I might have to add one to our door. It seems so uninviting now that the Christmas wreath is down!

I love that it is white, which I think is so clean and fresh and yet still Wintery. I really don't think it needs anything else. Maybe you can add something pink or red for Valentine's Day???

So pretty! I need to clean my front door...winter had taken its tole on it. I have a brown house with a brown door (previous owners) and I REALLY want to paint the door this spring. There is also a storm door on it, so I will have to paint that too. I'm thinking red! Wreaths, etc. are hard with a storm door. Not as pretty as they are on a regular door.

I think the flowers are beautiful! I, too, need to find sometime to replace the blankness of the Christmas wreath.

I love the idea, my front door has a lot of glass and I hate that so I might try a basket for more privacy!

I'm totally madly in love with this site. The arrangement is petite like the owner. I think I want to change my background to look like this, if you don't mind? It's clear, clean, and everything looks perfect to my already failing eyesight. Hahaha! Love it!

Oh, I love that! What a great idea.

Our front door is fairly bare, but there is already so much going on with the porch that I'm afraid something pretty on the door might be overwhelming.

Stopping by from SITS to say hello!

It's so pretty! It doesn't need anything else! The flowers are perfect and the vase is adorable! I'm really interested in feng shui, too! :)

Great blog you got here. It would be great to read a bit more concerning that topic. The only thing I would like to see on that blog is some photos of any devices.
