Curbside Appeal San Francisco Style

I like to go on walks around San Francisco. I really enjoy looking at all the work and detail that goes into making some homes here so very beautiful and special. The pictures above are from the Pacific Heights neighborhood. In the early days of San Francisco these magnifiencent homes were built to rival those of another neighborhood called Nob Hill. This neighborhood was essentially rescued from destruction in the in 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire by the sacrifice of many stately homes that were given up so that these could be saved. This part of San Francisco today is considered an architectural museum of 19th century Victorian mansions.

hi Lia- Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your posts and photos look divine. I live in the northeast where it is still cold. Seeing all of your photos of the flowers the paper butterflies is getting me excited for Spring. I lived in Oakland for 1 year and worked in display at Macys. SF was a fun town. Enjoy

One of my all time favorite areas in which to take walks. I fondly remember doing just that many times on visits to one of my favorite US destinations. Thank you for taking us along on your walk by sharing these beautiful photos. Stellar post as always!

Happy Saturday! Love your sweet doll from your childhood (last Pink Sat!)!

My hubby went to Phoenix this week (from KC,MO) via San Fran.!!! Yep, he had to fly there first, wait two hours and fly to Phoenix! What a trip! Today, he comes home with a layover in Denver...better.

I loved seeing the homes you shared on this post...just lovely!

Hope you have a great weekend...our temps are finally warming up...50s and 60s! A real heat wave! Dana
